How do I book a cruise?

Call your travel agent or Victory Cruise Lines at 1-888-907-2636. It is recommended that reservations are made as far in advance as possible to ensure the availability of the cruise and your stateroom choice.

What is included in fare?

Victory Cruise Lines’ per person fare includes passage, all food and service throughout the cruise including breakfast, lunch and dinner, snacks, and our special High Tea Service, fashioned from some of the most renowned Afternoon Tea services around the world such as London, Vienna, and India. Also featured are special Pre-dinner cocktail parties every evening. Enjoy our house wine, beer, soft drinks and non -premium alcohol, free of charge, during your entire cruise. On each voyage we will have a series of featured lecturers providing important insights and experiences about the next place visited on the itinerary. All cruises include a complimentary featured shore excursion program in every port. Fares do not include port charges or gratuities onboard or for any shore excursion personnel, such as tour guides or bus drivers.

What is recommended for gratuity?

Recommended gratuities on the ship are $15 per day per person and for your convenience will be automatically added to your personal onboard portfolio. Any changes you wish to make to the gratuities for your service can be easily made without question at the hotel desk. Recommended gratuities for Shore Tours are $5 per person per Tour Guide and $2 per person per bus driver.

What is the dress code on my Victory Cruise?

Resort casual attire is recommended both on the ship and ashore. For dinner, men’s clothing might include a sport shirt and slacks, jackets for men are totally optional and not required. Women may wear a sweater and slacks, or dress appropriate. No shorts are permitted in the dining room for dinner. Victory Cruise Lines also recommends you bring comfortable walking shoes, a hat, light rain wear, a portable umbrella, and a jacket or sweater for cool evenings.

What accommodations are available for solo travelers?

Victory Cruise Lines welcomes solo travelers and features a select number of single occupancy staterooms available on its ships. One person occupying a double stateroom will be charged 160% of the double occupancy rate depending on each category.

Is there an elevator onboard?

Yes, Victory I has passenger elevator, accessible to decks 1-4 elevator providing service to all stateroom decks.

Can you accommodate special diet requests?

Victory Cruise Lines will work to cater any dietary needs. Please tell your cruise specialist approximately two weeks prior to your cruise so that we may plan accordingly.

Is there cellular service onboard?

Cell phones can be utilized onboard but service is not always available and can be spotty depending on weather and location and can also vary depending on your service provider. Cell service is more reliable when we are in port, which is often on the Great Lakes, and when close to shore.

Is there internet onboard?

Complimentary basic internet access via Wi-Fi is available.   

What is the smoking policy?

Smoking is permitted in designated outside areas only. Smoking is strictly prohibited anywhere inside the ship and in all passenger cabins.

How many passengers does the ship accommodate?

Victory I carries only up to 202 passengers which creates a welcoming, intimate environment.

Can we reserve a table at the restaurant?

We have open seating in the main dining room to ensure you get the opportunity to meet your fellow travelers. We also feature a special “Hot Rock” dining experience with limited seating. Reservations are recommended. As it is with all food services onboard there is no charge for your choice of dining experiences.

What time is embarkation?

Embarkation varies by port of departure. Check your specific itinerary for the time your embarkation begins and the ship departs. If you want to arrive earlier, you may check your luggage on board, and then explore the embarkation port city.

What time is disembarkation?

Disembarkation time is approximately 8:00am.

What is the infotainment system?

 Please note that television reception is via satellite, therefore depending on location, reception may be temporarily restricted or unclear.

Do I need a convertor or adapter?

No. Our ship was built in the USA and all current onboard is 110 V

Are audio sets provided during the tours?

We provide a complimentary audio headset system that allows guests to comfortably listen to their tour guide while taking photos or admiring their ports of call. These units easily recharge in your cabins with charging units provided so you will always have a fully ready headset sound system for each of your tours.

Is there laundry service on board?

Laundry services are available on board for a nominal fee. Price lists are available in your stateroom. Please note that clothes cannot be dry cleaned on board.

Are there medical facilities on board?

Yes. There is Doctor and an infirmary for your visit to our medical professional when needed.

Is there a beauty salon on board?

Various beauty and hair treatments as well as massages are available on board. Please inquire at the reception desk for a list of services and to schedule an appointment.

Is there a gift shop on board?

We have gifts and logo items available for sale onboard.

What are your packing recommendations?

Victory Cruise Lines recommends you pack comfortable resort attire and the following:

  • Comfortable walking shoes
  • Sunscreen
  • Sunglasses
  • Insect repellent
  • Hat
  • Light rain wear/portable umbrella
  • Jacket for cool evenings
  • Camera
  • Photo identification
  • Reusable water bottle to use during excursions
  • Personal medications
Is there a limit on how much luggage I can bring?

Victory Cruise Lines places no restrictions on luggage. However, it is recommended that you bring as few bags as necessary. Suitcases less than 10 inches high may be stowed under your bed.

What airport should I plan to fly into?

All departure ports are located near major airports. Please reference your pre-cruise booklet for a list of airports recommended for travel to your particular cruise departure point.

Does Victory Cruise Lines provide transportation services to and from the ship?

We do not offer transportation services to and from the ship and airport.

Does Victory Cruise Lines offer travel insurance?

We do not offer travel insurance. Here are some commonly used travel insurances companies: AON, TRAVELEX INSURANCE SERVICES, ALLIANZ, TRAVEL GUARD AIG. However, please feel free to find your own.

Can I bring my pet?

You are permitted a service animal that must be certified with papers that show all up to date vaccines. These papers muct be carried with you at all times while on your cruise. Please advise your travel professional or Victory Cruise LInes two weeks prior to departure in order to have arrangments made.
