Whale Watching / Tadoussac

TadoussacTadoussac, where the St. Lawrence River meets the outflow of the Saguenay River, is one of the most exciting whale-watching sites in the world. Between May and October, up to 13 species of cetaceans make their way upriver from the Atlantic Ocean, to become temporary residents in the salty rich waters of the St. Lawrence. Portland, ME

Portland, MEPortland's waterfront combines active fishing wharves with warehouses, shops, and museums. Departing from the port, we'll take a picturesque drive through the elegant Victorian Mansion district, past the boyhood home of American poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, and out to Casco Bay and the famous Portland Head Light. After lunch onboard, we'll take a short ride to Kennebunkport, a shipbuilding mecca since the early 1600s. This New England community has long been the summer residence of President G. W. Bush. After soaking up the maritime atmosphere of this quaint community, we'll make our way back through the architecturally significant homes of nearby Kennebunk, visiting the Franciscan Monastery and pausing by the quirky "wedding cake house."
